From Here to Eternity by A.L. Jackson

I am always such a big fan of A.L Jackson books, but this might be my favorite plot twist she's ever pulled.  My mind was absolutely blown, and I was in tears of some sort of strange mix of all the feels, complete disbelief, and utter relief.  This romantic suspense had me hooked from the beginning with the best 'who hurt you' vibes and a protective MMC with a savior complex to die for.  Tragic past and a heroine in need of saving, honestly this book hit all the tropes and executed them perfectly.  Also, can we talk about how much I love the narrator pick for this duel style audiobook?  The whole thing was utter perfection, and it's going to have me in a massive hangover.
