The Wind Singer by William Nicholson

4.0

I first read this series when I was much younger, I can’t remember when exactly but the story stuck in my mind since childhood. I came across it again, remembering the testing and the colour systems and the children having to go on a journey to save their city.

It was great to relive this book on Audible. It is obviously written for a younger audience, but that doesn’t distract from the charm of it. The Wind Singer is a great dystopian children’s book. It’s incredibly weird sometimes with the old children and the two warring cities, but still a really enjoyable read.
