How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry

4.0

After the death of her dad, Emilia Nightingale inherits Nightingale Books, her dad’s bookshop which he ran for years with love and passion. Emilia knows how much the bookshop meant to her dad, so she vows to take over and keep the bookshop alive in his honor.

But soon Emilia discovers that Nightingale Books is in trouble: it hasn’t been turning in profits for a while now, and her dad left too much debt. She knew how generous her dad was, and it did not surprise Emilia to know that he often gave away books to customers for free when the situation called for it.

But Emilia also discovers just how much her dad was loved by the community. When news of his death came out, she realized just how these personal connections her dad nurtured over the years can also be Emilia’s and Nightingale Books’ saving grace.

This was such a joy to read! It’s a sweet and charming book with adorable characters. They’re all customers of Nightingale Books, and they all have stories to tell. It’s so comforting, warm, and cozy―just like its books that fill the shelves and this little bookshop in the beautiful town of Peasebrook.
