The American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin
3.0

I was surprisingly into this book! Recommended and borrowed from my little sister, Kelli.

It’s the 1890s and the rich American girl is seeking a British title... you know how it goes...

Even though this was what I was expecting, it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting and I liked that. It is a romance, of course, but I couldn’t help but be into it.

P.S. Duke of Wareham... figure your life out. You are hot and cold and I’m over it. Also one thing that tires me in romances is how the whole book could always be avoided if the two leads ever communicated.

The resolution did take until the very last pages of a pretty long book, and it was a lot of build up for the quick ending.

But seriously, for its genre, I definitely liked it.
