Ragdoll by Daniel Cole
4.0

Disgraced Detective Wolf is on the case of a serial killer who seems to be fulfilling his wildest dreams: killing everyone involved with the case that destroyed his reputation and led to the death of a little girl. The trouble is, some of the people involved are innocent. The bigger trouble is that Wolf himself is the last one on the hit list. The Death Clock is literally counting down.

As a police procedural, Ragdoll is solid. There's not a single character I don't want to know more about, and I enjoyed the mystery. As a thriller, the book is maybe a little too wild. Wolf goes full Elliott Stabler, the murder methods are impossible, and the ending makes me wonder how the heck there can be two more books in the series when everyone should be dead or in jail. Which I guess means I have to read them. Well played, Daniel Cole.
