Emery Lord always manages to stay right on the line between light-hearted and thought-provoking, bringing out the best qualities of both. This book is funny, sweet, and beautiful, but balanced with family, relationship, and personal struggles. It was a perfect read for me today in the aftermath of what happened, and I recommend The Start of Me and You to anyone who feels like they need to escape.
