I absolutely loved Mare in the first book but in this book I couldn't stand her at all.
The action with Camoren wtf Mare ? I also thought she took the whole "I can't trust anyone" thing a bit too seriously. Sure, she was betrayed pretty badly by Maven, but in relation to that she hadn't even known him for a year. Then to not trust her family and Kilion anymore I think is over the top, especially since they've known each other (almost) their whole lives. I also thought it was a shame that the things Cameron, Farley an Cal said to her were completly denied by her although I think they are very accurate.
But then again, if I had to lead a resistance movement and would be hunted by Maven at 17, I probably wouldn't be perfect eighter. And the end of the book convinced me, but because I didn’t enjoy the rest, I gave 2.75 stars.
