I love MMC POVs—seeing all that intensity, how they burn inside for the heroine... and Hades was no exception.
The problem? The audiobook narrator completely ruined it.
I don’t know how it is in English, but in Spanish, I seriously wonder how it got approved. A fantastic story, full of potential, completely lost its impact due to a bland, monotonous narration filled with editing flaws. Keeping a neutral face while listening to spicy scenes (there are plenty) because you’re a badass is one thing. Feeling bored because there’s zero emotion? That’s another.
Is this going to stop me from reading more Scarlett St. Clair? Absolutely not. I love how she weaves mythology into her stories and makes you care so much about the characters. (I just want to hug Hermes).
