The Highly Sensitive Child: Helping Our Children Thrive When the World Overwhelms Them by Elaine N. Aron

4.0

I read this book to fulfil the goal read a book with a family member term in the title (child). i had picked it up to better learn how to parent my son who displays a lot of autistic/asbergers symptoms. it didn't really describe him, but i did learn a lot about myself. it turns out that i have a lot of the highly sensitive traights and probably was a highly sensitive child. my mom did a lot of things right i must say. raising a highly sensitive child isn't easy. my favorite quote from the book is "to have an exceptional child you must be willing to have an exceptional child" hopefully i will turn out to be as good of a mother to my highly sensitive kid as my mother was to me.
