The Stationery Shop by Marjan Kamali
Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
I knew based on the blurb that The Stationary Shop was going to have a very wistful/melancholy tone. I’m not a huge fan of separated love stories (I want happiness now, not later), but I’ve heard so many great things about this I thought I’d give it a shot.
Unfortunately, I think I just wasn’t in a headspace for this. I was really struggling to make myself pick it up for a few days, but I officially DNF’d after their engagement party ended. It was just so negative at the moment, and I knew there was more negative to come, and I dreaded reading more.
Hopefully I’ll come back to it one day, but if not — others still absolutely adore this and sing its praises!
