This was amazing!! This was the book I didn’t know I needed!! I really loved the characters and witnessing how the Gentlemen Bastards was formed through the Interlude chapters. I liked watching how each of the men got their spot, the banter between them all and watching them all work together to pull off these elaborate schemes that Locke would come up with. I loved that I couldn’t predict which way this story was going to go. There were times when I tried to figure out how these schemes would turn out but then there would be another twist until ultimately I just went with the flow. I enjoy stories were none of the characters are actually good. We have Locke and the Gentlemen Bastards who steal for a living which obviously isn’t a good thing, yet I loved all of them, but we also have the villains of the story and once you learn their motivations you could sort of sympathize with them. Part of me could agree with what they were doing although it was wrong as well. While in the very beginning it took a couple of chapters for me to become fully invested and get used to the flashbacks being randomly inserted in, once I was grabbed by the characters and the story, I was hooked. This story felt fast paced because there was something always going on, this has a lot of humor, there is some action, moments that will make you angry and ones that will make you sad. I was unsure how I would feel going into this one, but I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next book and would highly recommend!!
