In 1970, a woman looks back on her days working for MI-5, recalling the terrible secrets she learned while she tries to deduce who is following and threatening her now, and why.

This got such mixed reviews. While it didn't bowl me over with emotional truths the way some of Atkinson's other books have, I found it an engaging -- and surprisingly funny -- novel. The audiobook narrator was great. The BBC plotline was a bit weak.
