The Ministry for the Future
by Kim Stanley Robinson
Challenging read. I really like KSR. great writer. I enjoyed this book. sometimes it felt like non-fiction, sort of text book ish. The story was good and the characters were engaging. I felt I needed to read a chunk and then think about it for a while. Digest for a bit and then re-engage. I would imagine this would come about as being preachy especially if you are skeptical about climate change. There's a lot of information that is 'what if' but it is so science sounding that I found myself looking up more online only to find it's a KSM invention (terms and whatnot) This book made me think about my choices and how I can impact the planet less. That's a good thing in my mind.
