My Lucky Star Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice was mild.
This book is going in my comfort reading list. The authors writing for me was the equivalent of being wrapped in a warm, comfy blanket. Something about it was just so comforting. Not only is the writing phenomenal, the characters are even more amazing. Aria is a small town girl/"failed actress" who gets thrown together with Cem and his grumpy brother Emir. Immediately, Cem and Aria have chemistry and you fall in love with the banter, Aria has some witty comebacks! I also really enjoyed the cultural experience and intertwining two together. It was really interesting and was explained beautifully. If you are looking for a sweet, light, rom-com with witty banter, then this is for you! This book will be being added to my "comfort list". Ya know that list of books that when in a reading slump or you just want to read something familiar and comforting? This book is going on MY list for sure! Tropes include: he falls first, fake dating, doppelgangers, intertwined cultures, slow burn, celebrity and small town girl, and reverse grumpy sunshine.
