Imagine resenting your traumatized childhood friend, but still keeping up with the man who took advantage of you. I hate you Sadie Green.
Although Sadie was insufferable, I like when books show me a realistic character. Everyone has flaws and Sam and Sadie were no exception to the rule. If you are searching for morally perfect characters this isn’t for you. This book is not a light hearted read, but you will learn a lot from it. As someone stepping into adulthood, this book opened my eyes. I can pinpoint so many characters with people I already know.
