Posie is an utterly infuriating protagonist. She's capable in a detective sense but ridiculously hopeless in most other senses. She is really insecure and it grinds on my gears. Nothing she ever does has much of a motive and this plot was just bonkers in the worst way??? We went from England, to Sicily, to Egypt and for no good reason. I'm literally only continuing in the series because I'm sick and can't handle anything more complex (and I'm finished the Lady Detective series which is very sad)
