The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James

5.0

I'm giving this one five stars because it's made me feel a way about reading I haven't felt in over a year. I literally just kept telling myself one more chapter, and next thing i knew, i had blown through the second half of it in the span of 2 hours.
I love slow burn everything, and this was the perfect amount of slow burn to intense action. I'm gonna be honest, that ending was not what i was expecting.
Romy as a character was someone I felt like I could almost relate to. I feel like she could have been perhaps the teensiest more developed and it would have made me really happy, but in a way her character matched the life she had been living which does make sense. So I guess her being a little bland wasn't the worst
The emails were really keeping me going. And so were all the things happening with earth, and contact, and everything that seemed to unwind. I absolutely fell for this book. I'm a science fiction nerd, and I was starting to think all science fiction was looking the same. Nope. Not this one. I really enjoyed it, and now i really feel like devouring books again
