Strongly written female MC, romance, magic and mystery. Book two throws us back into the action.
Book one was a 5 star read, having come out of book two (the conclusion)it sits at a strong 4 stars. I liked it, I just didn't love it. There was far less romance, which although suited this more complex adventurous second novel, I just really wanted to see more interaction between the two MC's. I'm an unapologetic romance reader. The plot was well paced, I just didn't want to devour it like the first novel.
All side characters were fun and I enjoyed to see the side winding narrative of their actions.
