Sixth of the Dusk by Brandon Sanderson
4.0

Update: giving 4* now. The more I think about this one the more I like it :)
----------------

I read this in [b:Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection|28595941|Arcanum Unbounded The Cosmere Collection|Brandon Sanderson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1466536615s/28595941.jpg|48765829].

This was an interesting story that was set on a more tropical island type location. A tropical island that has some seriously deadly animals, plants and other dangerous things. I liked this one, but I felt that Sanderson needed more pages to flesh out the world. He does an amazing job for a 50 page short story, but this just needed to be bigger.

I liked the 2 characters that were featured in this novella, and I think that, were this a bigger book, their personalities would have been a nice compliment to each other. Sort of like Wax and Wayne in the Era 2 Mistborn books. It would have been different, but that's kind of the same idea.

The Magic system, if you can even call it "magic," is very interesting. I just need more. If I had more I think I could fall for this book and this world.

Overall it's a short, fun read. It's definitely worth the read for the length. And if you are a Sanderson fan, then it is a must.
