Great for fans of gothic horror. The book features spirits and talking to spirits, struggle with the patriarchy and trying to find your own sense of self, quite a bit of gore and LGBTQ rep as per usual for Andrew J. White books.
I'm a bit torn about the 'For Teens' status this book apparently has, since the horror and gore elements tend to be very graphic due to the main characters rational thinking and extensive medical knowledge.
If you're sensitiv to mentions of bodily (self-)harm and sexual assault - do NOT read this.

Graphic: Body horror, Deadnaming, Gore, Sexism, Forced institutionalization, Blood, Medical content, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Emotional abuse, Misogyny, Abortion
Minor: War, Classism
