This book was actually a lot cooler than I was expecting. It goes behind the scenes of the three movies Wimpy Kid movies, telling stories and anecdotes that happened with the crew and cast during filming.

As a film buff myself, most parts where they talked about the process of making a movie where things I already knew, but for someone younger (like, for example, the actual target audience of the Wimpy kid series and not jaded old me) this is a really interesting dive into the process of film-making.

All the bits that were specifically about the particularities of the movies were very cool. The casting of Zach (who plays Greg) and Robert (who plays Rowley), the props they had to make for the movie, which special effect technique they used, it was all very quaint and fun to read about. Plus, the book is littered with Jeff Kinley's drawings.

Very fun, lovely, a recommended read for anyone that likes the Wimpy Kid series, or cinema in general.
