All the Parts of the Soul by Catherine Fearns

dark emotional informative sad tense

4.0

This may be one of the books that are harder to read. It's a historical fiction based on the witch trials in Geneva.

This is told in the POV of the magistrate who was sent to investigate about the witches. It was written so well that a lot of times I had to stop because his character was infuriating! Reading this in his POV shows how much men wanted to take control over the lives of women simply because they wanted to and believed it to be right.

The pacing was perfect and did not drag nor was it too fast. The events were written so well, as is the characters. Even when it was in the first person POV, the other characters were written with detail and had depth in them. Overall, a very good read.
