Pretend You're Mine
by Lucy Score
Once again Lucy Score has not let me down. While this book might not have as much of a light hearted Lucy Score vibe it still hooked me and kept me on the edge of my seat. Nothing can tug at someone’s heart strings more than loss, fear and duty which are the main themes of the book. Between a plot twist I never saw coming and the heart breaks that almost broke me, I felt this book tear my heart out before putting it back together again. The way Score writes her characters and tackles hard topics almost feels like therapy opening the door for the readers healing as well. I did miss some of the Lucy banter, but the amount of heart and love made up for it. Like with all Lucy Score books I cannot recommend it enough.
