Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Pérez
5.0
If you're one of those people who sees sexism everywhere, this book has good (or rather, bad) news for you; you're not imagining it! Caroline Criado Perez systematically examines all the ways, big and and small, that the world is designed for men and the ways that this adversely affects women. It's very well-written and thoroughly researched. In fact, for a book mostly about a lack of data, there are an awful lot of statistics! As you would probably expect from a book like this, you spend most of the time feeling pretty outraged when reading it, but for me the section about medical stuff, especially drug trials, was another level of horrifying. I could barely believe what I was reading. I definitely recommend it
