A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
5.0

Rating: 5/5
Book 7/12 for 2024

Initially I was going to give this book a 4.5/5, but the ending raised it to a 5/5. The beginning of this book hooked me in, because obviously I had to start it right after I finished ACOMAF, and it was fun seeing the things that Feyre did to take down Tamlin's court. When she left with Lucien I was beyond happy because I loved seeing the two of them together, although their banter wasn't there due to everything that happened, the way they fought with and for each other was still there. Not to forget the MOMENT, when they were on the ice and Cass and Az showed up, omg chills, I could've started crying right then, and then when they got back to Velaris, and Feyre reunited with Rhys omg chills. After this, it got slow for me, the lead up and preparing for the war was still entertaining that I was enthralled in reading but it really picked up again when they had their High Lords meeting. Tamlin was being whiney, but honestly based on what he did in the rest of the book I really cannot be a Tamlin hater, he has some redeeming moments, but unfortunately not enough for what he's done already.
When Feyre had her moment with the Suriel I started getting emotional, and then everything after that just had me in tears. The ICONIC line of what Rhys said to Feyre started the waterworks and they just didnt stop with everything that happened with the Bone Carver, the Weaver, Az, Cass, Amren, all of the characters had a moment in the war that got to me and I think that's what makes this book a 5/5. The ending with Rhys had me TERRIFIED, but I'm glad that got sorted out. I am SOSOSO excited to start the next book, given its a short one, and then ACOSF after that for my queen Nesta. I can for sure say that I have not stopped thinking about everyone in this book since I started this series. I wish Velaris was real fr
