I have to completely agree with the comments i’ve seen people make about this book; this was truly an adorable and heartwarming cozy fantasy that had me craving cinnamon rolls and coffee, which I don’t really even drink.

the vibes in this book? phenomenal. low stakes, nothing too stressful, just a quick read that highlights the process of opening up a coffee shop. over the course of the book, a sense of community was really built between all of the characters, and that just made this book even cozier.

i will say that the parts of this book that i didn’t love were really just because of personal preferences. i think cozy fantasy just isn’t a go-to genre for me, because when i’m picking up a fantasy over a contemporary, it’s usually because I’m looking for some action and world building and conflict, you know? but nonetheless, i enjoyed taking a break from the high-stakes fantasy that i typically read.
