A worthy continuation to the High Republic series, but with several threads left dangling. What are the force-blocking creatures? Where was Avar Kriss and what was the deal with the conflict between her and Stellan Gios? Did Avar manage to kill or capture Lourna Dee? Some of these answers may be in the Tempest Runner audiobook I guess. Overall still a fairly good offering as Star Wars books go, but more character death than I would like. The trio of Avar, Elzar, and Stellan never had much time together, and I guess never will now. I am nevertheless interested in how the series will play out, especially with Elzar and Avar.
