The Motivation Myth: How High Achievers Really Set Themselves Up to Win by Jeff Haden
3.0
I discovered this author and book on The Workplace Therapist Podcast and picked it up right away. There are plenty of useful nuggets throughout, depending on what you're looking for, but the main concept that resonated with (and encouraged) me is that no magical motivation is needed to achieve your goals. There are several examples of how the author set a goal, developed a process, and worked the process to get the job done. Am I going to do 100,000 push-ups in a year? That's a hard "no." But, I can definitely consider how breaking something like that down into smaller chunks can apply to my own life and aspirations. Worth a read, for sure.
