Meant to read this series for years and it doesn't disappoint. A myriad of connections (both documented and speculative) between government mind control, wandering bishops, and occult adventures of both the rich and powerful and the low and criminal.
I'm not sure what I think of it all - there are so many connections one would need a flow chart to keep track of it all - but it seems certain that during the Cold War both cults and government operatives were in bed together in all manner of strange configurations.
