Urgh!

I bought this book outright because it has thousands of great reviews. It was sweet, they were both perfectly likeable, but it was ultimately kind of dull.

There seemed to be an undue amount of time devoted to developing their surroundings and the secondary characters. And, the "bad guy" didn’t even provide any real satisfaction, he was just kind of there and boring. He was never even confronted about the dumb shit he did, and Teo was just still best friends with him at the end - like why?

There were a lot of enjoyable tropes said to be included such as fake boyfriends, friends with benefits. But it was like these were discussed but not really executed, it was weird. I feel like a third of this book could have been cut out and it would have then had a nice pleasing story arc at least. It just kind of limped towards the predictable finish for too long.

So, pleasant but somewhat boring. Nothing to write home about.
