Story Thieves by James Riley

5.0

This was a reread for me. I had listened to the audiobook a while ago (and loved it). Then I found the physical copy at the library and thought, "Why not?" I had forgotten how funny and clever it is!

I love how both the villains and the heroes are actually smart.

I loved how the characters were really relatable. Who doesn't want to go on an adventure, like Owen, and who doesn't get lots of stress, like Bethany?

This story is really funny, but not in the stupid way, which I really appreciated.

Full five stars and would totally recommend. Especially recommended for fans of "Fablehaven," by Brandon Mull, "The Wingfeather Saga," by Andrew Peterson, "The Circus at the End of the Sea," by Lori R. Snyder, "The Land of Stories," by Chris Colfer, “Half Upon a Time,” by James Riley, and “Keeper of the Lost Cities,” by Shannon Messenger.
