House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Oh. My. Gods.
This was everything I ever wanted, and then some. Although it was excruciatingly long- I wanted to read and devour every single word. Sarah Maas found a way to bring all the things I loved about her YA books and created a fast paced adult crime mystery (which is funny considering I just started getting into those) with all of the fantastical elements she’s known for.
I was thrown by her world building abilities yet again, and fell in love with all of her characters. It’s probably the best thing she’s ever written. *sorry ACOMAF!* I was worried at first about the amount of...fantasy she covered in the first few chapters; we had shifters, vampires, faeries, sprites, demons and angels, but all of these factions and groups of people lived together in Crescent City but still managed to let the storyline shine.
I cannot WAIT to see what Hunt and Bryce will get into in her next book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
