Rose and Savino did a great job on this werewolf book with a boss/employee dynamic. This alpha boss has his hands full with the full-blood human that possesses a backbone rivaling the top tier of his pack.
Blackthroat is the Pack Alpha and head of Moon Co. as well as Madi’s new boss. He has a reputation for being one of the biggest, and successful, bastards in business. Madi has given up grad school for Wall Street to pay for her younger brother’s tuition. The two of them engage in a game of cat and mouse throughout the entire course of the book. The sparks between the two set the tone and the witty verbal banter kept me thoroughly engaged. Once I started, I couldn’t stop reading until I finished!
This is a quick and easy read. The s3x was hot and took a while to get to, but the tension between the two was there from the get-go. However, the ending was a bit of a letdown, and expected, with a lead into the next book of the series. Regardless, I enjoyed the book and will continue with the series.
