Verity by Colleen Hoover

5.0

It's all fun and games until a romance writer crosses over to the dark side! Verity is a disturbing mindgame that's so insanely fun and f*cked up you just might want to cover your eyes, but peek though, just a little bit - just enough to feel a bit unsettled, super uncomfortable, and eventually have your mind blown into a million pieces of twisted perfection.

This is a super disturbing thriller, with a healthy dose of romance, a lot of mystery and even some borderline pornographic moments... and that ending! Gasp! Verity is a super famous writer, who after a bad accident, is in a vegetative state. Her husband Jeremy enlists Lowen to finish the books series she's been working on. Of course, there are feelings. Jeremy and Lowen are both sad and lonely and they immediately are drawn to one another. While staying in their home to work thought the notes Verity has left in her office, Lowen finds an unpublished biography of the famous author that reveals a cold and disturbingly demented side of Verity that proves to be borderline evil.

The story is creepy, and deliciously dark. It will most likely give you nightmares, and make you blush all at the same time. "I can't explain the mind of a writer," says Verity... I am in awe of Colleen Hoover's mind and I need no explanation of it.
