I really liked this story. The dream world was such an interesting added layer to the real one. The characters are really well developed. Callie was likable from page 1, and Tarian was delectable. They felt real and complex, and their relationship may have developed quickly, but it felt natural and inevitable.

All that being said, there were times that the author's descriptions were confusing. I felt like some of the Hadez family dynamics were unclear, even in the end. I also didn't understand why she kept referring to Tarian as beastly. He never really behaved very beastly.

This was touted as a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but it was very much a Sleeping Beauty retelling. Although Sleeping Beauty was never my favorite story, this retelling changed my mind. The plot was very well done, and the author's talent for ending chapters on cliffhangers kept me turning pages for hours.
