Detective Harry Bosch is a complicated man. For me, since I came to this book series...after binging the entire Bosch TV series, Bosch IS Titus Welliver. I have a hard time visualizing characters while reading books. They usually are fuzzy blobs in my head, so I like having a character to focus on.

This story is nearly the same as the first season (if memory serves). There are obvious differences, but the characters are burned into my mind, and I had a lot of fun (as much fun someone can have, when reading about this type of murder). I feel that they did a great adaptation, but this original story is actually better, for the books.

I am wondering how the differences of the books series and the TV series (which has already deviated), will differ going forward. In a lot of ways, that's exciting for me.

You can also see the author's flair in this story, for he was a reporter...and you can see the nuances shared in this story (or at least I could).

I've already got the next book, The Last Coyote, but I just need to find the perfect place for it, in my readings.
