I wasn’t into the girl-girl love affair and the mystery wasn’t holding my interest enough to stick it out. The story was also told in a way that was not very interesting to me. There was not much dialogue. It was just basically relating events and scenes that happened. I wasn’t enjoying the narrator‘s voice either. She sounded like a bad actress. Maybe my expectations were too high since most of my books are  read with a British accent.
