Eureka!: Poems about Inventors by Joyce Sidman

3.0

I liked this lavishly illustrated collection of poems for kids (except for the first one, about the invention of pottery - come on, humans had all kinds of containers WAY before they had clay pots), but I wonder if most kids have enough historical knowledge to really appreciate the poems. It could serve as a nice introduction to Gutenberg, Da Vinci, the "real McCoy", Mme. Curie, etc.
