Geek Girl

This book right here was nice, but not my cup of tea.
You know, how there are a lot of different tea flavors but even if there's only flavor you drink, every cup tastes a little bit different?
I think that could be compared to books. Different tea flavors are like different types of books, and this time I chose a flavor that I liked but that wasn't my favorite - and the cup of tea, the book, was cool but not the best.
In the first place I grabbed this book because I had heard quite much about it. Maybe it's because I'm already a couple of years older than 15, or because of some other stuff, but this book didn't amaze me and neither did it capture my heart. The main character was sort of relatable, but seriously annoying at points. Her romance was preeetty unrealistic and seemed a bit out of place which is sad. Usually a great slow-burn romance is what I need when I read romantic books, and this book didn't give that to me.
There was also the fact that things happened very quickly and were very big scale stuff. I personally prefer books that show that also tiny details and events matter, so I think that you all can see why this wasn't my cup of tea.
It was a fast read, though, light and entertaining. The text was easy to focus on and it gave a good message about expressing yourself and being different. So overall it wasn't that bad. And I like Annabel.
