Cycle of the Werewolf
by Stephen King
Cycle of the Werewolf is a long short story (although packaged more like a novel), the tale of a werewolf in Tarker's Mills, ME, where most bad things happen in the Stephen King universe. The titular werewolf leaves a trail of bodies in its wake, until even the most skeptical residents of Tarker's Mills has a hard time believing it's anything but a Beast.
Cycle is decent story, sporting minimalist prose vs King's usual style, but definitely lacking in his trademark development of most characters. A light read, can be wiped out in an hour or two, and worth reading if you're a King fan (or a fan of horror shorts).
