shel1y 's review for:
The Watchmaker of Filigree Street
by Natasha Pulley
This book had a lot of potential but the characters didn't seem fully developed. The most disappointing to me was Grace's character, as she had no personality aside from being interested in science and being 'not like other girls', as she critiques femininity and deems feminine women as 'stupid,' which I found really stereotypical and annoying, especially coming from a woman. The writer has a decent writing style but it doesn't make up for the lack of plot, which didn't have a lot of depth. Overall, its pretty mediocre and very forgettable.
