4.5 stars - I don't normally read fantasy/paranormal books, but As I Descended was a pretty fun read, it definitely kept me engaged, and I read it in one sitting. I really liked the ending. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the paranormal things seemed a bit out of place at times. I read Macbeth before reading As I Descended, and that helped me with the plot points, I think I would maybe have gotten a bit confused if I hadn't already read Macbeth, but overall, a well-written story.
Edit: I read this book three months ago, and im still thinking about it. Bumping up my rating to 5 stars because of that, it was definitely a book that impacted me, so yeah, you should read it
