This book follows the romantic exploits of a group of 1899 Manhattan upperclass society – The Hollands, Elizabeth and Diana; Penelope Hayes, Henry Schoonmaker, Teddy, Agnes Jones, and some lower class individuals like Claire and Carolina “Lina” Broud, Will Keller, among others. It’s particularly centered around the upcoming nuptials of two pairs in this listing, and all the drama that ensues when neither are as they appear.

Overall, an unpretentious fluff read that's just plain entertaining.
