Really great thriller, lots of tension and twists and turns in the plot right to the end. The only things that got me a little tired was that there was just a lot of relentless terrible things happening to the protagonist, Abi and after a while I just wanted something to go right for her! And the ending seemed to be over a bit quickly and not entirely satisfactorily (for me) given the huge build up throughout the novel. It was a really interesting story, and I liked the way you flip between 1809 and 2009 and the gaps are slowly filled in.
