The Magic of Thinking Big
by David J. Schwartz
Two stars for an interesting read in mid-twentieth century self-help literature. Some tidbits are nice reminders, but the whole of it is little more than warmed over Dale Carnegie, somewhat superficial "do more, be more." Very little of it touches on character, and nearly all of it is "do good to others, *so that* they will do good to you." He encourages a daily time of silence, but for the purpose of *doing more* problem solving. Every day in every way you'll be getting better and better. Purchased it as a very cheap ebook. "Recommended" only as an historical example of self-help literature. I will never read this book again. Were it not for the "historical interest" and curiosity aspects for reading it in the first place, I would not even rate this book one star.
