This was a powerful reading experience. I would recommend this book to many. I do think there were a couple of aspects around the plot I wish had been fleshed out more which is why it’s not a perfect 5 star.
I do think it would be helpful to physically read, although the audiobook was really well done & has multiple narrators. I just think I would have understood more if I was reading it along with the audio.

Graphic: Confinement, Death, Physical abuse, Racism, Slavery, Violence, Murder, Sexual harassment
Minor: Suicidal thoughts
It’s a book about fighting to the death for freedom after committing crimes that got you life in prison, a lot of triggers are to be expected
