Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic
by Alison Bechdel
challenging

Tender like a bruise and oh- so complicated. I loved reading it, it's a very intelligent memoir that rarely attempts to flatten any anecdote. There is a insistence through out the book on its "realness"; how the story is a story with the fascinating setting and ironic plot beats, but it is also real, with real people who lived real events. And Bechdel tells this to you almost incredulously, as if she herself cannot believe it. And that's what the art of memoir is about babey!!!! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
