I enjoyed almost everything about this book. My main concern is the age of the main characters, I felt like they acted and behaved a lot older than their characters were written as. I also am a little weirded out that the two mmc are in college and trying to be in a relationship with a high school kid? I wonder why her dad and family are not reaching out to her more often. I really enjoyed the inclusion of historical and culture of the Black community that is usually overlooked in fantasy literature. I'm looking forward to the next book.
