Hercule Poirot's Christmas by Agatha Christie
4.0

This is a fun little break from your standard Christmas story and a delight to read in this reader's humble opinion. As with most Christie novels, there's plenty of information provided for you to play along with the detective to try and solve the murder. The ending was a little disappointing, but only because I found who did it to be a bit of a let down. I can't say that it wasn't well set up or that I didn't 100% believe that the culprit did it.

I recommend most Christie books to people who want something relatively engaging to read who also enjoy a feeling of satisfaction at being able to put together at least some of the pieces so that, when all is revealed, you get that smug "I knew it" moment. They're not deep novels that make you question your understanding of humanity or anything like that, but they're genuine fun that I find relaxing. Any of her books that I've given 4 or more stars are worth the read.
