In the interim, until I have the time to put together a better review, this is a good book. My only comment would be to read it closely after finishing Red Rising. I waited a year which was too long and left me scrambling to remember characters and storylines from the first book...which is only a fault of my own. I will continue on with this trilogy.

My second comments are as follows; Although I am enjoying these books they are overall (likely) better suited towards the male readers (and hey with all the chic lit out there why can’t a series like this exist). I have seen many women reviewers disregarding these books based on the innumerable chauvinistic male characteristics of Darrow and others. It’s a trilogy of Gods and followers. Of War and politics. Good and evil. The women are characterized by God strengths as well, to be noted along with their femininity, so it’s a tit for tat argument. Worth the read.
